Sailing Lessons
Captain Rick is committed to helping you understand, appreciate and fully enjoy the incredible world of sailing.
If you thought you could never learn because you don't own a boat, think again. Try a lesson on the private 36' sailing vessel Persistence by Freedom.
We will do much more than simply show you the basics; our lessons can teach you everything you need to be a skilled and on your way to becoming an experienced sailor, including helping you learn how to cruise the coast. While on the water we will cover basics of boating safety, including piloting with chart and GPS, radio calls, man overboard, mooring, docking, sail handling and rules of the road. This is just a basic list of what you will need to safely navigate a boat on your own.
Along the way, you’ll experience the real thrill of sailing as you take a turn at the wheel and feel the boat respond to the wind and water. You’ll also learn the hands-on skills that make sailing come alive, from tending the lines to working the sails. It’s an engaging and memorable way to build confidence on the water while experiencing the true joy of sailing.
